Google's predatory pricing storyline

It was totally surprising when the news back in November 2020. The link is here

We can't strike it off another mishap in the Pandemic Year 2020, as it effects each and everyone of the millions of people who were bought into this idea of unlimited storage of photos - which drove out ruthlessly many players out of business.

When they launched in 2015, they promised unlimited uploads.

The unlimited photo storage on offer was USP in the marketing for Google's own Pixel phones, which gave users free unlimited storage at full resolution. Non-Pixel owners were only offered unlimited uploads at what Google calls "high quality" - a lower-resolution compressed standard. Which was a reason why I bought initial models of their phone.

I think everyone should be reconsider, what does it mean by unlimited and free. So there is nothing free in this world.

You can read the link from Google and understand how it effects you and your memories stored somewhere on the cloud.

Hope Sundar Pichai remembers the fate of Flickr, 500px - what happened when they switched to similar money mining strategy. Google has played major role in killing the former mentioned megaliths.
